Activities

Kyoto Club activities can be summarized as follows:

  • Conferences and workshops, on the main themes Kyoto Club deals with.
  • Training courses, for professionals, public administrators and students on technical and regulatory themes concerning renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, communication and marketing, climate finance, waste reduction and circular and bio economy.
  • Study visits abroad, for business companies, local authorities, universities, secondary schools and trade associations.
  • Technological and regulatory update workshops, with experts from the relevant sectors.
  • Conventions, seminars and scientific collaboration, at major Italian and EU trade fairs.
  • Documents, policy recommendations and position papers addressed to policy-makers, prepared by Kyoto Club and our Working groups.
  • Kyoto Books, the Kyoto Club’s technical-scientific series, published by Edizioni Ambiente, Italy’s largest environmental publishing house.
  • The study and showcasing of the best practices, as developed by our Members.
  • Campaings and projects:
    Parchi per Kyoto (Parks for Kyoto) – is a campaign jointly launched and managed by Federparchi–Europarc, Legambiente and Kyoto Club. It raises funds to support forestation in national protected areas as well as in urban settings.
    Scuole per Kyoto (Schools for Kyoto) – is an educational programme for and with schools all over Italy, with the aim to increase awareness among students, of all ages, and their families on the main sustainability-related topics.
    Sostenibilmente (Sustainably) – is a free set of sustainable development activities addressed to municipalities and high schools. It is supported by the Italian Environment Ministry and, through frontal and on-line seminars (webinars), informs about the Sustainable Development Goals, shares success stories and supports new local sustainability initiatives.
