SCSD-SD, Environmental Energy Association visiting in Rome
From 24 to 27 September 2019, the some Turkish association visited some Italian associations based in Rome. The aim of the visit was the study of best practices and the strengthening of environmental cooperation.
Discovering the Italian association world to learn good practices and strengthen contacts between Turkey and Italy: from 24 to 27 September 2019, the Turkish Environmental Energy Association, together with Kyoto Club, visited Rome in order to meet the main italian environmental associations.
The visit saw the participation of the Turkish Association in different workshops, meetings and debates with the representatives of the organizations. The initiative took place in the context of the Sustainable Civil Society Dialogue for Sustainable Development (SCSD-SD), a project that has as its partner Kyoto Club and Environmental Energy Association, co-financed by the European Union (EU) in the context of Civil Society Dialogue program.
Among the organizations visited and the exponents met: FREE Coordination, National Wind Energy Association (ANEV), ISES Italy, Campagna Amica, Lunaria, Federbio, Legambiente, Greenpeace, Council for Agricultural Research and Agricultural Economy Analysis (CREA), Yunus Emre Institute, Azzero CO2, Qualenergia.it, E3G.
Indeed, as part of the initiative, Kyoto Club organized two workshops: the first, Better skills for Turkish progresses and policies, was held on 25 September 2019, and investigated the issue of Turkey's efforts in cutting emissions and achieving of the objectives set out in the Paris Agreement. The second, Proposing solution for common challenges, focused on environmental cooperation between the EU and Turkey, was held on September 27.
