European stakeholders call upon the new Commission to make 2030 climate target a priority

Today, the Coalition for Higher Ambition, a unique gathering of businesses, investor groups, trade unions, local and regional authorities, and NGOs, where eceee takes active part, published a statement to urge the Commission to come forward with a proposal to increase the EU’s climate target to at least -55% of GHG emissions reductions by 2030 compared to 1990 levels within the first 100 days of their mandate. It is the first time that this broad group of stakeholders take a joint position on the EU’s 2030 target and its revision timeline.
