Civil Society Dialogue-V newsletter
The program Civil Society Dialogue – V, which supports initiatives dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and experiences on issues of interest common to Turkish and EU civil society, presents its annual newsletter, an excursus on the various activities and results carried out.
The official newsletter of the fifth phase of the Civil Society Dialogue, which began in April 2019, has been released. Civil Society Dialogue-V is a program that supports initiatives dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and experiences on issues of interest common to Turkish and EU civil society.
The program has a total budget of 7 million euros, and currently finances 40 dialogue projects implemented jointly by associations and bodies from Turkey and the EU member states. The projects that received grants focus on development, dialogue and cooperation. The projects are being implemented in areas such as gender equality, education, health, agriculture, food and the environment. Among the funded projects there is also Sustainable Civil Society Dialogue for Sustainable Development, which started on April 1, 2019 and with a duration of 15 months. The partner organizations are Kyoto Club, Rome (Coordination) and Çevreci Enerji Derneği (Environmental Energy Association), Izmir.
The newsletter illustrates the various activities carried out within the various active projects. The focus of this edition is on the importance of mutual dialogue between the European Union and civil society with the head of the EU delegation in Turkey, Ambassador Christian Berge.
