“Sustainable Civil Society Dialogue for Sustainable Development” – Animation video
The animated videos are aimed at Turkish civil society, and they focus on the progress made by Turkey from the point of view of environmental and climate legislation and on the convergence of national laws with the European Community environmental acquis.
What is Turkey's stage with environmental protection and climate justice legislation? To answer the question, the associations Çevreci Enerji Derneği and Kyoto Club, partners of SCSD-SD project, have produced four short animated videos aimed at Turkish civil society and focused on the progress made by Turkey from the point of view of environmental and climate legislation and on the convergence of national laws with the European Community environmental acquis. The videos made are focused respectively on circular economy, renewable energy development, climate change and relations between Turkey and the European Union with a focus on civil society and the third sector.
1 – Circular economy and waste management (turkish)
The animation video talks about the importance of waste management. It focuses on a few topics: why we should better manage our waste, best practices for effective management, the importance of the circular economy, best practices and objectives of the EU and Turkey.
2 – Renewable energy (turkish)
The animation video is about the importance of renewable energy. It introduces the renewable energy sources, the importance of using renewable energy sources, the progress and targets of Turkey, EU best practices and targets on renewable energy.
3 – Climate change and climate action (turkish)
The animation video is about climate action. It includes the importance of climate action, simple information on climate change, the reasons for climate change, what needs to be change, what should poeple do for an effective climate action, EU best practices and targets on climate action.
4 – Third sector and civil society
The animation video is about the importance of empowering better EU-Turkey civil society dialogue, against prejudices, sterotypes and misperceptions, and emphasizing the importance of Turkey's accession to the EU in terms of environmental concerns.
