The third study visit of the “ELN – Environmental Literacy Networking” project

The study visit, within the ELN – Environmental Literacy Networking project, took place in Bruxelles from 10 to 14 July 2023

During the study visit to Bruxelles, as part of the ELN environmental literacy communication project supported by the European Union, the project partners of the YUVA Association, representatives of Turkish municipalities, together with the Kyoto Club, met representatives of the European Commission – Directorates-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) and Environment (ENV) and European External Action Service (EEAS) – and five environmental and civil society organisations.

The following were respectively met: Ileana Okumus, Advocacy and Policy Advisor of the European Alliance to Save Energy (EU-ASE); Antonin Chapelot, Advocacy and Policy Advisor of the Coalition to Save Energy; Giulia Matticari, Policy Officer of the Turkey/East Med division of the European External Action Service; Iva Obretenova, Desk Officer of Directorate-General for Environment (ENV) of the European Commission; Cosimo Tansini, Climate and Energy Unit of the European Environmental Bureau (EEB); Margherita Tolotto, Policy Officer for Air and Noise of the European Environmental Bureau (EEB); Gina Ebner, Secretary General of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA); Aleksandra Kozyra, Head of Capacity-Building of of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA); Katarzyna Marzec, Deputy Head of Turkey Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR); Nicolas Dominguez-Mendoza and Tsvetomir Svilenov, Turkey Unit of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission; Sarah O’Brien, Manager of the Buildings Program of the European Climate Foundation (ECF) and Darelle Colleran, Junior Associate of the Buildings Program of the European Climate Foundation (ECF).
