The ICCT released today a new paper titled “Hydrogen for heating? Decarbonization options for households in the European Union in 2050”.

It finds that in 2050, it will be 55% cheaper for a household in the EU to warm its home with a heat pump powered by renewable electricity than with a hydrogen boiler.
