The Smart cities Working Group has been launched on 5 June 2012, on the occasion of the 2012 World Environment Day. It aims at deepening from a multidisciplinary perspective, i.e. research, industry, finance and local authorities, the transformation urban settlements have been and will be going through, identifying participatory and intelligent approaches, methods and solutions.
Its interdisciplinary activities will involve the competences and skills already present in the other Kyoto Club’s Working Groups and will include: A. ad hoc thematic seminars reserved to the Group’s Members, with one expert introducing and giving the initial inputs on each topic’s discussion; B. smart cities conferences; C. a regular newsletter; D. e-books publication.
